Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through the English Room website and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

What we collect

• From the contact form: your name, phone number, the lesson type and an optional message.
• If you book online: your name, email and the time you choose.
• Anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Analytics), without cookies.

Why and on what legal basis

• To contact you and arrange a trial lesson at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To run your lessons and issue invoices (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
• To improve the website with anonymous statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

Enquiries that did not lead to lessons: up to 12 months. Student data: while lessons continue and up to 12 months after the last one. Accounting records: as long as the law requires.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf: website hosting (Vercel), enquiry notifications (Telegram or email), enquiry storage (Supabase) and online booking (Cal.com). Some may process data outside the EU under GDPR safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability by writing to stephanie@englishroomsofia.com. You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
